FAQ

Can dogs stay in your self-catering accommodation?

No. We’re very sorry, but unfortunately we cannot accept pets in our self-catering accommodation. This is due primarily to the risk of allergens. However, they can stay on the campsite as long as they are kept on a lead and their vaccinations are up-to-date.

Do you provide bed linen or towels?

YES

We offer a sheet rental service (20 € per pair).

Linen and towels are not included  and are not available for rent.

Do not hesitate to mention your needs when you make your reservation, or by e-mail.

Does the campsite have a shop and a restaurant?

Yes. Fresh bread is available every morning from 8am throughout the season, and there is a small shop selling a few basic items (please note this is not a convenience store). The snack bar is open from 1 May until 15 September inclusive (evenings only during mid season). In addition, during the summer season external catering partners visit the site two to four times a week (pizzas, tagines, paella, spit-roasted meat etc.)

Does the campsite have a kids' or teens' club?

No. During the summer season, we offer a number of events for kids and teens several times a week (circus, scientific discovery activities, graffiti etc.) as well as sports activities (volleyball, walks, water polo etc.), which are organised from time to time.

How far is it to Mont Ventoux?

We are 8 km from Malaucène and 30 km from the summit. During the summer season, a shuttle service runs from Malaucène to the summit of Mont Ventoux.

How far is the campsite from the centre of Vaison-la-Romaine?

We are located 3 km from Vaison-la-Romaine, on the St-Marcellin-lès-Vaison road (D205), in the hamlet of Cabrières in Crestet.

Is the campsite in the commune of Crestet or St-Marcellin-lès-Vaison?

Officially, we are in the commune of Crestet, but on the opposite side of the river. This means you will need to follow signs for the village of St-Marcellin-lès-Vaison, and when you reach the edge of the village, on the D205 road, you will find the hamlet of Cabrières and the Camping le VOCONCE campsite.

Is there safe access to the river?

The campsite has direct access to the river. We have built some small steps, but children must be supervised by their parents at all times once through the gate.

Are barbecues allowed?

The campsite has communal barbecue areas for campers to use, in two separate locations. We advise against the use of electric barbecues as these are often too powerful. Charcoal barbecues are permitted as long as basic safety measures are followed.

Is the campsite subject to flooding?

The campsite has been in a flood zone since the tragic events in Vaison-la-Romaine on 22 September 1992, which fortunately we were spared from. Following these floods, safety standards for campsites in at-risk areas were tightened, and we were authorised to continue operating as a campsite. Since then, we have been inspected every three years by the prefectural safety commission, which authorises us to have campers. If pitches are sometimes flooded, this is because they are usually subject to a period of drought lasting several months, followed by summer storms (usually after 15 August). The ground is too dry and unable to absorb the large quantity of rain that falls in a short space of time (in general, a summer storm lasts less than two hours).
